                      In the Physical area of the curriculum the large motor skills of the child are developed. "Large motor skills" is the term given to activities that use the large muscle groups in a coordinated activity. The activities include:

                      • throwing and catching a ball
                      • riding a tricycle
                      • balancing on gymnastic apparatus


                      _Children participate in organised activities designed to improve their gross motor skills and also have access to outdoor play areas with a range of equipment.
